About the event
Schuetzenpark is a privately owned 23-acre nature park originally developed for the practice of target shooting. The route follows city streets to Davenport’s newest urban park, Sunderbrook Park: 134 mostly undeveloped acres with hiking, off-road biking, and equestrian trails Food and refreshments are available at Schuetzen Park.
Time: Start between 8am and noon; finish by 3pm
Directions: From I-80, take I-280 south to Locust St [exit 4]. Turn left. At N. Fairmount, turn right (south) Continue on N. Fairmount as it turns into Waverly Rd. Turn right on Schuetzen Ln. Follow the street to the left to enter the Good Samaritan Home complex. Watch for signs.
Walkers in the October 2, 2021 Volksmarch from Schuetzen Park to Sunderbruch Park and return will be able to purchase a Northwest Davenport Turner Society bottle openers as a "walker's premium". The wood was harvested from Schuetzen Park and hand turned here in the Quad Cities - come early and get yours!
